2022 is a blank canvas, paint the picture you want your life to represent.

My brother is a Professor of Fine Arts. I’ve always been amazed by his artistic ability to sketch and paint. My years of observing his growth and development as an artist and teacher have helped me discover the connectivity between art and life.

Make no mistake about it. I’m no painter. You don’t want my drawings hanging on your walls. However, I have learned to leverage my creative confidence to craft my vision of success for my life.

Like my brother’s stunning canvas paintings, we should view our life in the same manner – a blank canvas waiting for us to create what the canvas will represent.

We’ve successfully transitioned into a new year. 2022 like every new year, presents an opportunity for us to start with a blank canvas. The question for you is, what picture will you create on your canvas this year.

When you interact with young children, they have this innate ability to create without limitation or fear of judgment. We were all that kid at some point in our life. However, along the way, we started placing boundaries on our ability and started defining our success by the opinions of our parents, friends, and environments we engaged in.

Your most significant challenge to achieving the fulfillment you desire is believing in your ability to create.

2022 is your year to rediscover your creative confidence. You’re no longer a little kid. However, I want you to dream like one – without limitation or fear of judgment.

Your most significant challenge to achieving the fulfillment you desire is believing in your ability to create.

Your life is your canvas, and it belongs to you. The freedom to create on our canvas is God’s unique gift to us all. Be confident in who you are. Don’t allow others to paint your picture for you. Paint the picture of your life you feel inspired to create.

There is an artistry to effective communication, conducting business, creating music, or painting a masterpiece. Whatever genre or industry, it all represents someone’s canvas. You’re favorite motivational speaker, thought leader, singer, or rapper. Their life symbolizes what they decided to paint on their canvas. Creative confidence has nothing to do with being famous. It is often what we cultivate in private that creates public awareness.

As we approach the close of January, be thoughtful about not allowing yourself to settle into the habits that have failed to produce progress in your life. Embrace your creative confidence.

Look at 2022 as your blank canvas and start painting the picture you want your life to represent.

Build Forward,
Ronald
